Pengaruh Pelatihan Kerja dan Kesehatan Keselamatan Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Petugas Pada Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran dan Penyelamatan Kota Padangsidimpuan
Abstract
The objective of this study was to determine whether job training and occupational health and safety influence the performance of employees at the Padangsidimpuan City Fire and Rescue Agency. A quantitative correlational approach was employed, as the research data consisted of numerical values. The study population comprised the 50 active employees of the Padangsidimpuan City Fire and Rescue Agency, and the sample consisted of the same 50 employees, selected using the incidental sampling technique. Job training and occupational health and safety were found to have a negative influence on employee performance, with constant values of 0.445 and 0.363, respectively. This negative influence indicates that a one-unit change in training or occupational health and safety results in a corresponding change in employee performance. The R-squared value of 0.117 (11.7%) indicates that the variables of job training and occupational health and safety account for 11.7% of the influence on employee performance. The t-test results—showing t-calculated (2.913) > t-table (1.679) for the training variable—demonstrate that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected; thus, the first hypothesis, stating that "there is a negative influence of training on employee performance at the Padangsidimpuan City Fire and Rescue Agency," is accepted. Similarly, for the occupational health and safety variable, t-calculated (2.224) > t-table (1.679) indicates that Ho was rejected, meaning the second hypothesis—stating that "there is a negative influence of occupational health and safety on employee performance at the Padangsidimpuan City Fire and Rescue Agency"—is also accepted.
