Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of sanctions and the factors affecting discipline based on Government Regulation (PP) No. 53 of 2010 regarding disciplinary violations of civil servants at the Industry and Trade Office of North Padang Lawas Regency. The research type used is descriptive qualitative. The informants in this study are individuals who possess an understanding of or are directly involved in the research problem. This study utilizes descriptive qualitative techniques. The results of the study show that: 1) The implementation of sanctions against employees who commit disciplinary violations is already in place, although certain types of violations have not yet received optimal punishment; 2) The disciplinary violations committed by civil servants at the Industry and Trade Office of North Padang Lawas Regency include: issues with working hour discipline, suboptimal achievement of work targets, and abuse of authority; 3) The factors influencing the implementation of disciplinary sanctions for violations by civil servants at the Industry and Trade Office of North Padang Lawas Regency include the Leadership, the Civil Servants themselves, and the considerations in imposing disciplinary sanctions.
