Abstract

Employee transfer is an essential human resource management policy aimed at placing employees according to their competencies, enhancing work experience, and encouraging performance improvement. This study aims to determine and analyze the implementation of employee transfers and to analyze the influence of employee transfers on the performance improvement of employees at the Community and Village Empowerment Office of North Padang Lawas Regency. This research utilizes a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population, which also serves as the sample in this study, consists of 51 employees. Data collection techniques were conducted through the distribution of questionnaires using a 1–5 Likert scale. The independent variable in this study is employee transfer (X), while the dependent variable is employee performance (Y). Data analysis techniques used include descriptive analysis and simple linear regression analysis.  The results of the descriptive analysis show that the employee transfer variable is in the 'good' category with a percentage of 76.86% and an average score per item of 3.84. Meanwhile, the employee performance variable is in the 'good/high' category with a percentage of 80.00% and an average score per item of 4.00. The implementation of employee transfers at the Community and Village Empowerment Office of North Padang Lawas Regency has been carried out well, and employee transfers are proven to have a positive and significant effect on increasing employee performance.
