PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM PENJUALAN IKAN ASIN BERBASIS JAVA DI TOKO USAHA PONCAN

Abstract

The development of information technology plays a significant role in increasing the efficiency of data processing in various business sectors, including sales. Poncan's Shop in Sibolga City is a business specializing in the sale of salted fish. The process of recording sales transactions, purchases, and managing inventory at the shop is still done manually, often leading to recording errors, delays in reporting, and ineffective data management. This study aims to design and build a desktop-based salted fish sales information system using the Java programming language with the help of NetBeans and a MySQL database. The methods used in this study include analysis of the existing system, system design using UML (Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Class Diagrams), and system testing using Black Box Testing. The results of this study are an information system application capable of managing product data and sales transactions, and generating reports quickly and accurately, thereby improving work efficiency at Poncan's Shop.
